Abstract

At the new stage of development of Uzbekistan, much work is being accomplished to fundamentally improve the teaching of foreign languages on the basis of reforms in the education system. It is targeted to create a system of training of competitive personnel who have mastered foreign languages. Moreover, the goal of developing a broad-minded personnel training system capable of familiarizing with foreign experiences, learning and adapting to national characteristics became the basis for expanding the scope of teaching foreign languages. In this situation, there come new requirements and responsibilities for people who are learning a foreign language. It is due to the fact that the probability of facing informational attacks is high when learning foreign languages. This process is accelerated by the massive use of media products, especially by foreign language learners and future foreign language teachers. Thus, improving the effectiveness of combating informational threats by developing “fact-checking” skills among students and future foreign teachers remains one of the important pedagogical tasks.
